If I buy large amounts of fabric, can I get a discount?

We try to keep our prices low everyday for all of our customers to enjoy

Why don’t you have rewards for frequent customers or coupons like other stores?

We try to keep our prices low everyday for all of our customers to enjoy

Why don’t you carry certain college fabrics?

Some colleges do not release their trademark, so therefore, it’s not available.

Do you carry Moda fabrics?

No, we do not carry Moda fabrics.

If the fabric is not in the store, can we order it?

This depends on what fabric it is and which dept it is in. We can place a special order for a drapery or upholstery fabric if you are willing to order a certain amount of it.

Why do we sell samples instead of giving them away?

We do charge for a minimum cut of fabric-we cannot possibly afford to give fabric away to all customers who want samples. Please understand that if we gave small amounts of fabric away, we would have to charge more per yard of fabric to all of our customers.

How long does it take to get new fabric in?

This really depends on the manufacturer and type of fabric.

Why do you not have carts for customer use?

Thread gets caught in the wheels, which causes them to not roll properly. They also cause too much congestion in the aisles.

Why won’t you cut the drapery/upholstery fabric into panels or lengths for me?

  • We cannot be responsible for cutting to other peoples measurements.
  • If we cut it wrong, it would be our fault and we would have a stack of remnants…
  • We sell our fabrics as inexpensively as we can. To take clerks time cutting panels/lengths for some customers would not be fair when other people want help at the same time. If we did it for one customer, we would have to do for all.

Why do you tear your fabric?

We tear our fabric so that we can keep it on grain. Fabric tears along a crosswise thread and therefore, will stay on grain this way. This results in less lost yardage because any pattern will be kept intact. The fabric will also be more stable than it would be if it were cut. We will cut upon request, but charge an additional 1/8 yd for this service, as it results in loss yardage for us.
